Welcome

The Revd Dr Andreas Loewe
Andreas is the College Chaplain of Trinity College, The University of Melbourne.  Most recently, he was Associate Vicar of Great St Mary’s, The University Church, Cambridge, and Chaplain of Michaelhouse, a lively weekday church with an award-winning café and art gallery.  Prior to taking up his appointment at the University of Melbourne, he taught at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Divinity, supervised students preparing for ordination at the Cambridge Theological Federation, and mentored newly-ordained ministers in the Diocese of Ely.
Andreas is interested in the dialogue between faiths, and the creative arts. He has served as chairman of Art Beyond Belief, a UK-based interfaith arts provider working with marginalised communities in the Thames Valley, including young offenders and victims of domestic violence. A keen ecumenist, he is theological secretary of the Ecumenical Forum for Young Theologians, an international association for lay and ordained ministers from all denominations. Andreas supports and prays for the success of his Aussie rules footy team, the Trinity All Stars.
Andreas is married to Dr Katherine Firth, a research fellow and tutor at Trinity College, Melbourne.
