John Mason Neale, Priest and Poet
The first in a series of annual sermons to commemorate John Mason Neale (1818-66), the priest, poet and hymnodist at Little St Mary’s Church, Cambridge, this sermon reflects on the set epistle for the Sunday after Neale’s commemoration, Romans 10.5-15, as well as the lasting heritage of Neale’s hymns.
