Interfaith and Ecumenical Dialogue
In his current work, Andreas seeks to provide programmes of workshops and public lectures at Michaelhouse that encourage serious intellectual engagement with issues of faith and belief.
These range from a regular series of Lent lectures given by local representatives of the three Abrahamic faiths on a topical issue common to all three faiths, but also high profile lectures on interfaith relations given by renowned faith leaders such as Chief Rabbi Jonathan Sacks and Archbishop Rowan Williams.
In addition, Andreas is a trustee of the Cambridge interfaith educational trust Society for Dialogue and Action, which exists to provide teaching resources for use in religious education in primary and secondary schools in the UK, as well as local educational programmes tailored for young people and women.
A keen ecumenist, he is a theological secretary of the Ecumenical Forum for Young Theologians, an international association for young lay and ordained ministers from all denominations.
Faith & Belief
Andreas enjoys providing opportunities for people to think about issues of faith and belief in a welcoming environment. He has a keen interest in ecumenism and the dialogue between the three Abrahamic Faiths, and has been facilitating programmes that allow Christians, Muslims and Jews to get to know each other and their beliefs.
